Facilities
The wines are stored by Private Reserves in the underground cellars at Octavian, Corsham where both the humidity and temperature are ideal for the ageing of fine wine. The provenance of wine is extremely important when selling wine as well as ensuring that you are not disappointed when you pull the cork. More information about the storage conditions we keep the wines in is available on the ‘cellars’ page of our website.
Competitive Storage Rates
Our competitive storage rates include insurance and are charged pro-rata for six bottle cases.
These are currently £16.14 for a 12 pack case and £8.06 for a 6 pack case inclusive of VAT.
In addition, wines received during the year are charged pro-rata for the number of months remaining in the storage year.
For example, wine received at the beginning of October will be charged at 50% of the annual rate.
Our Team
Private Reserves is run by a dedicated team in our Northamptonshire office and we now store over 110,000 cases of wine for collectors and wine lovers throughout the world.
Please note, we cannot accept wine deliveries at the Northamptonshire office, please ensure all orders are sent to the warehouse address in Wiltshire:

Valuations
We use the Liv-ex Market Price. This is the lowest price of a wine as listed by leading wine merchants and brokers. This is a group of around 50 top wine companies throughout Europe, including Goedhuis Waddesdon.
Notwithstanding Liv-ex's very considerable data base some wines may not have been listed by these merchants and may not have a value so please do not hesitate to contact us for further advice.
For large format bottles, the value is for the wine only and does not take into consideration the increased value for the large format and rarity of the bottle. Please do not hesitate to contact us to get a more accurate valuation for these bottles.
If you are thinking about selling please contact the Goedhuis Waddesdon broking department, broking@goedhuiswaddesdon.com.
They are happy to give you advice on the best way to sell your wines and to confirm the market price.
Drinking Dates & Tasting Notes
We provide tasting notes and drinking dates from Goedhuis Waddesdon as well as from the most respected wine journalists and wine publications from around the world, including:
Antonio Galloni
Burghound
Jancis Robinson
James Suckling
Matthew Jukes
Neal Martin
Robert Parker
Wine Advocate
The above all score out of 100 apart from Jancis Robinson and Matthew Jukes who score out of 20.
Your reserves list gives you two drinking dates. The first is when the wine will start to be enjoyable to drink. The wine will then go on maturing and improving over several years. The second date is when the wine will begin to decline.
Please note that these are only a guide as wines are full of surprises and mature differently and at varying speeds.
Unfortunately, there will be wines that none of these experts have tasted.
